Jewel of the island’s northeastern coastline: a five-kilometer-long half-moon of soft white sand dunes washed by a crystal-clear sea and covered with centuries-old junipers, which form curious natural huts
The spectacle it offers is called by many tourists a wonder of Sardinia, capable of regenerating the spirit and giving new emotions according to the sunlight, from sunrise to sunset. Bèrchida is a stunning beach, long and spacious, considered (and voted) as one of the most beautiful in the Mediterranean. It is located in the territory of Siniscola, from which it is only a few kilometers away. Never crowded, an ideal destination for relaxing and unwinding, with shallow waters, fine sand and sea colors ranging from green to turquoise. You can enjoy various amenities: kiosk-bar, bathing facilities, canoe and pedal boat rental, ample parking.
White sand and dunes that meet the sea in the wild scenery of junipers and mastic trees. Berchida is an isolated beach, far from urban centers and roads. The municipality of Siniscola has been able to preserve this natural paradise recognized as one of the most beautiful beaches in Sardinia.
From State Highway 125 a short stretch of dirt road leads to the beach amid the scents of the sea and Mediterranean scrub. In a discreet location an agritourism and on the beach a small establishment offer their services and garrison the beautiful area.
From Berchida, you can reach to the north the beautiful dunes of Capo Comino and s’Ena e sa Chitta, three kilometers of fine white sand, enclosed by rocks near an old lighthouse, off which is the small Isola Rossa. Behind it is a pine forest of Aleppo and domestic pines about half a century old. Still further north you’ll find the small fishing village of Santa Lucia, built around an Aragonese tower and behind a beautiful white sandy beach, and the popular tourist resort of La Caletta, with all amenities and a beach as long as five kilometers.
South of Bérchida, however, is theBiderosa Oasis, another magical place. It is a coastal forest of more than a thousand hectares, inside which it is easy to spot migratory birds and resident species, the pride of Orosei for the variety of flora and fauna it holds. The coastal forest of includes five coves, including the enchanting beach of Biderosa, with a pond behind it where pink flamingos and herons dwell.
