Hills enclose the town, endowed with a splendid stone village. The old town, rich in history and public places, is the heart of the nightlife: discos, meeting places and restaurants enliven the atmosphere all year round, especially during the summer season.

Among the wonders of the area are Li Cucutti, Baia Sant’Anna and Cala Budoni. The soft, white sand and the Mediterranean scrub, which encloses shores of extraordinary beauty in its arms, enrapture and intoxicate the eye. Cala Ottiolu, with its shallow, green waters, is one of the most popular and is located close to Porto Ottiolu, a landmark tourist landing place that is a starting point for trips down the coast.

The Budonese Ferragosto is undoubtedly the most beloved and awaited festival: squares enlivened by music and joy unite visitors in one unmissable celebration, marked by dancing in discos and dreamy clubs. Of strong historical value are the tower of Su Entosu, a nuraghe-viewpoint located on a granite peak, the nuraghe Conca e Bentu and the domus de janas l’Agliola.

If you love old-fashioned charm, the stazzi of San Pietro will take you back in time: a trail of ancient pastoral dwellings, built with millennia-old stones, mortar and mud that testify to the image of the Sardinian country village in the 19th century. The colorful charm of the rooms and courtyards still tell ancient stories of life.
