Orvile or Orvili beach is located in the municipality of Posada in the province of Nuoro, at the mouth of the Posada River, along the east coast of Sardinia.

Like Posada’s other beaches, Orvile beach is essentially characterized by white and golden medium-grained sand, very soft to the touch, which faces a wonderful crystal-clear sea with changing colors between green and blue. The seabed is mostly sandy, and the beach is moderately crowded during the summer period. Behind the beach is a beautiful, verdant pine forest. To the south the beach borders Iscraios Beach.

To reach Orvile beach, follow the signs for Posada along State Road 125, then from the town proceed north always on 125, toward the locality Orvile, until you find the intersection signaling this very beach. Turn and proceed straight ahead until you reach the pine forest that gives onto the beach.

There is no real parking, but at the moment it turns out to be possible to park practically next to the beach (in the pine forest). Near the entrance to the beach we find a refreshment stand, and there is also a restaurant nearby. Finally, in the pine forest there are tables with benches. The northernmost portion of the beach, before the rocks, is used as a dog beach.

The characteristic historic center of Posada is worth visiting; moreover, on the top of the hill on which the town originates is the Castello della Fava, dating from medieval times, of which a tower remains open to visitors today, and the walls and ruins of the rest of the castle are still clearly visible. In the town center we also find the 16th-century Library , the 18th-century Church N.S. del Soccorso, the 12th-century Parish Church of Sant’Antonio Abate and the 18th-century Church of Nostra Signora del Rosario. In the Posada territory we also encounter evidence of ancient civilizations: examples include the Pilusinu Tomb of the Giants, the Nuraghe Pedru Pascale and the Nuraghe Monte Oro.
