Enveloped by granite hills, Torp\u00e8 is a center of nearly three thousand inhabitants near the northeastern coast of Sardinia, speaking Logudorese, and documented since the 12th century as a locality of the <strong>Posada<\/strong> curatorial district &#8211; a neighboring municipality today &#8211; within the giudicato of Gallura. Amid the narrow streets of the historic center, which inspired 20th-century Sardinian painter <strong>Mario Delitala<\/strong>, stands the beautiful <strong>parish church of Nostra Signora degli Angeli<\/strong>. Included in the solemn feast for the patron saint are folkloric performances.
